Senior Onsite Support Engineer (ATM Infrastructure) – NATS Prestwick Centre, Scotland

The Role
Indra seeks an experienced engineer to join our onsite support team at the NATS Prestwick Centre (Scotland). This customer-facing team is responsible for:
- The implementation and maintenance of the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform
- The deployment of ATM products into Indra and customer environments
- System integration support for development, including operational validations with end users in networking, virtualisation, OS, and software deployment

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level (third-tier) support for ATM systems:
- Analyse incidents/observations, then provide customer-facing solutions
- Collaborate with offshore development teams for troubleshooting
- Support operational training and test environment deployments
- Customer-facing interaction:
- Update clients on investigation/problem resolutions
- Act as the engineering focal point during system development with end users
- System integration & deployment:
- Hardware/software integration in customer & internal ATM environments
- Proactively document technical procedures (e.g., operational protocols, network designs)
- Customer stakeholder management:
- Ensure needs are met
- Identify new business opportunities
Requirements
Essential
- Technical expertise
- Software integration testing
- Formal IT infrastructure experience
- Strong Linux (preferably RHEL) knowledge
- Virtualisation (VMware, KVM)
- Log analysis skills
- Automation/scripting (shell scripting, Python)
- Networking (TCP/IP, Multicast, Routing + troubleshooting tools: Tcpdump, Wireshark)
- Software installation/troubleshooting
