The Role
As an Infrastructure Architect, you will bring a balanced set of technical and soft skills to shape your career and impact organizational success. You will design, plan, and manage infrastructure projects while delivering strategic IT outcomes.

Essential Technical Expertise

Networking:
- TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP

Storage:
- SAN, NAS, RAID, cloud storage

Virtualization & Cloud Computing:
- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Operating Systems:
- Windows, Linux, Unix, macOS

Security:
- Cybersecurity threats, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems
Additional Experience

Middleware & Application Servers:
- JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat

Web Servers & Load Balancers:
- Apache, Nginx (web servers)
- F5, HAProxy (load balancers)

Key Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Architect, your responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs
- Ensuring stability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure
- Developing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborating with Application teams, network engineers, and stakeholders to integrate solutions
- Providing technical guidance to extended IT teams across the organization
- Designing and managing physical and virtual server infrastructure
- Developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Implementing and enhancing cloud-based solutions (Private cloud, AWS/Azure)
- Gaining approvals from customer technical authorities and stakeholders for solutions
- Designing network infrastructure, including firewalls and VPNs
- Assuring compliance with industry standards and security policies
- Mitigating legacy tools and operating systems while aligning with application roadmaps
- Data analysis and visualization for effective solutioning
- Developing HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) documents
- Cost estimation and effort calculation for proposed solutions
- Comparing alternative technology solutions and providing a rough cost and effort analysis
- Driving AI initiatives and supporting technical teams in AI-use case testing
