Infrastructure Architect
We are currently partnered with a Financial Services client who are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to drive the design and evolution of their data centre and cloud platforms. This is a key role focused on delivering scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions while contributing to ongoing capability improvements.
The Role
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, providing architectural leadership across projects and shaping the future infrastructure strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of infrastructure solutions, including high-level designs and architectural blueprints
- Provide technical leadership across projects and act as the lead architect
- Develop and maintain infrastructure strategy, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and enterprise architecture teams
- Contribute to product roadmaps, reference architectures, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure solutions align with architectural principles and security standards

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in infrastructure architecture within enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), data centres, and hosting technologies
- Broad knowledge of networking, security, and risk management
- Ability to clearly communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working across architecture, engineering, and operations teams
Desirable Skills
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Virtualisation technologies and operating systems (Windows & Linux)
- Hybrid cloud architecture design
- Cloud security and third-party tooling evaluation
- Storage, firewall technologies, and database platforms

Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant technology discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Industry certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM (or similar) are highly desirable
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) is a plus
