Infrastructure Architect

We are currently partnered with a Financial Services client who are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to drive the design and evolution of their data centre and cloud platforms. This is a key role focused on delivering scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions while contributing to ongoing capability improvements.

The Role

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, providing architectural leadership across projects and shaping the future infrastructure strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of infrastructure solutions, including high-level designs and architectural blueprints
  • Provide technical leadership across projects and act as the lead architect
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure strategy, standards, and best practices
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and enterprise architecture teams
  • Contribute to product roadmaps, reference architectures, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure solutions align with architectural principles and security standards

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in infrastructure architecture within enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), data centres, and hosting technologies
  • Broad knowledge of networking, security, and risk management
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working across architecture, engineering, and operations teams

Desirable Skills

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Virtualisation technologies and operating systems (Windows & Linux)
  • Hybrid cloud architecture design
  • Cloud security and third-party tooling evaluation
  • Storage, firewall technologies, and database platforms

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant technology discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Industry certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM (or similar) are highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) is a plus
