Position Description

At CGI, you'll design the infrastructure that underpins mission-critical solutions for some of the UK's most complex programmes. As an Infrastructure Architect, you'll shape resilient, secure and scalable technology solutions that deliver lasting value for our clients, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to solve challenging business problems. You'll influence technical direction from bid through to delivery, collaborating with experts across CGI to develop innovative infrastructure architectures while mentoring others and helping drive technical excellence. If you're passionate about creating robust solutions and making a tangible impact, you'll find the support, opportunities and ownership to grow your career with us.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will lead the design and assurance of infrastructure solutions that support large-scale bids, programmes and complex client engagements. Working closely with Solution Architects, delivery teams, project managers and stakeholders, you will ensure infrastructure designs are secure, scalable, high performing and aligned with business objectives, technical standards and architectural best practice. You'll play a key role in shaping technical direction, managing architectural risk and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose from design through to delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
