Infrastructure Architect
Location: Bristol
Important: UK Security Clearance Eligibility Required
About the Role:
We’re working with a highly respected organisation delivering innovative research and technology services into some of the UK’s most specialised and regulated sectors, in support of their search for an Infrastructure Architect.
They're seeking someone with a strong infrastructure background to design and deliver secure, scalable enterprise infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid and private cloud environments. You'll play a key role in shaping technical strategy, producing architecture designs, and supporting infrastructure transformation projects within a highly regulated environment.
Important: Due to the nature of the projects, we can only consider candidates who are eligible for UK security clearance.

Responsibilities:
- Design high and low-level Microsoft infrastructure solutions across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
- Lead technical discovery, assessments and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
- Provide architectural governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce architecture documentation, standards and reference designs.
- Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and migration strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers and senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Requirements:
- Eligible for UK security clearance.
- Strong experience in designing Microsoft Infrastructure Architecture at enterprise level.
- Proven experience designing hybrid and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
- Experience producing HLDs, LLDs and technical architecture documentation.
- Strong knowledge of virtualisation, networking and storage technologies.
- Experience providing technical governance and design assurance.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking and cloud integration.
