Infrastructure Architect (Microsoft / Azure / Cloud / M365)

Location: London / Hybrid (3 days) Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + Bonus & Benefits

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to help define and evolve our global organisation’s technology landscape.

This role enables you to influence enterprise-scale infrastructure strategy. You’ll work alongside senior leaders to establish standards, guide transformational programmes, and modernise platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.

Ideal candidates enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, steering architectural direction, and empowering engineering teams.


Responsibilities

As the architectural authority for enterprise infrastructure, you’ll:

  • Define infrastructure architecture, principles, standards, and technology roadmaps
  • Shape Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 strategy globally
  • Lead hybrid cloud architecture for identity, security, and resilience
  • Support large-scale cloud migration and modernisation efforts
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code and automation best practices
  • Provide architectural governance across cloud and on-premises platforms
  • Guide approaches to AI-enabled infrastructure, Microsoft Copilot, and emerging technologies
  • Influence cost optimisation (FinOps), operational efficiency, and long-term strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and applications teams to design scalable, secure platforms

Key Experience

We welcome candidates with expertise in:

  • Designing enterprise infrastructure within complex organisations
  • Expertise in Azure and M365
  • Hybrid cloud/infrastructure architecture
  • Identity and Access Management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
  • Infrastructure governance, standards, and architecture assurance
  • Large-scale cloud migration and transformation
  • Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
  • Business continuity, disaster recovery/RP/DR, and resilience planning
  • Work with enterprise platforms like Dynamics 365 and Power Platform

Note: Certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or FinOps) are a plus—experience alone is also valued.
