Infrastructure Associate Director

Are you a Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to grow your technical and operational expertise across the world? Buro Happold is looking to recruit an Associate Director for our London office’s Infrastructure group.

This role will have responsibility for overseeing technical and financial performance of a diverse range of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in London and across the world, from city-scale masterplanning through to campus and building scale development infrastructure.

Your next role:

Be part of an exceptional team that embraces technically demanding projects and challenges. Be at the forefront of changes in the industry such as reducing embodied carbon and modern methods of infrastructure design.

Key Duties:

Manage the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, balancing demands and priorities, whilst reviewing civil infrastructure design, from project proposition through to construction. Plan project resources and finances and monitor job financial performance. Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specification and schedules. Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that address complex urban challenges. Provide expert advice and guidance on infrastructure strategies, policies, and best practices to clients and project teams. Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for business development and expansion of services. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant policies, sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues and clients. Represent Buro Happold at industry events, conferences, and seminars, enhancing the company's reputation and network.

Your Skills and Experience:

Strong technical background in urban development and infrastructure design projects. Demonstrable track record of leading a technical specialism in a core infrastructure discipline (Highways, utilities or Sustainable Drainage). Experience of successful multidisciplinary project delivery; demonstrating both the ability to manage and motivate the team, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. A willingness to travel, and desire to lead continuous quality improvement in our work. Experience in overseeing AutoCAD, Civils 3D and MicroDrainage A Member of a relevant professional institution. We want to hear from you also if you can bring more specialist experience in an Infrastructure discipline, such as highways or water supply networks for example.

Holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum, exclusive of Bank Holidays. Car allowance (10%) Hybrid working arrangements. Private Medical Health (family cover). Company Pension Scheme. Life Assurance. Early leaving at the end of the month - Buro Happold actively encourages its employees to finish at 3pm on the last Friday of each month (depending on business demands). These hours can equate to an additional 4 days leave per annum.
