Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Permanent)
Rate: £55k Annual Salary + 5% Pension + 25 Days Annual Leave
Location: Remote
Clearance: BPSS
Stages: 1 Stage
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions
- Support cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments
- Build and maintain Windows and Linux server environments
- Administer virtualisation platforms such as VMware
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity services
- Configure and support enterprise storage and backup solutions
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar technologies
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and support procedures
- Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes
- Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and third-party suppliers

- Strong experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure
- Windows Server administration
- Linux administration (Red Hat/Ubuntu)
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
- Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, VPN)
- Enterprise backup and recovery solutions
- Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or Dynatrac
- Understanding of ITIL processes
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
