The Vacancy

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, taking ownership of core IT infrastructure, endpoint, and security platforms across the business. This is a highly operational role where you will play a critical part in ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and high-performing.

You will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving business-critical IT services, acting as a key escalation point, and driving infrastructure and security initiatives across corporate offices and operational sites. Working closely with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Security, and Operational Teams, you will help deliver robust, scalable solutions that support the organisation’s ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of core IT infrastructure, including endpoint, identity, security, and network platforms
  • Ensure systems are securely configured, stable, and continuously improved
  • Act as the technical escalation point for critical infrastructure and security issues
  • Implement, configure, and support infrastructure solutions across multiple environments
  • Manage device provisioning, application deployment, identity, and authentication services
  • Own and resolve live incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, performance, and connectivity issues
  • Collaborate with Service Desk teams and third-party suppliers to drive incidents to resolution
  • Support integrations across email, identity, and security platforms
  • Contribute to system migrations, acquisitions, and business change initiatives
  • Participate in infrastructure and security projects from design through to delivery and handover
  • Provide technical input, testing, validation, and documentation for projects
  • Plan and implement changes using controlled, phased approaches
  • Pilot and validate new technologies before full deployment
  • Monitor system performance post-implementation and resolve emerging issues
  • Apply security-first principles while balancing operational usability
  • Identify and escalate risks related to security or system performance
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across IT and the wider business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
