Infrastructure Engineer
- Contract Type: Day rate (up to £450 per day) – Inside IR35
- Duration: 9 months (with potential extension to 3 years)
- Flexibility: Option for 3–4 days per week (part-time)
- Location: Fully remote (UK-based)

- Client: Long-term project for a UK-based client
About the Role
An opportunity to support a long-term Infrastructure Engineering project within the Insurance sector, focusing on Windows Server, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and Azure-based environments. This role is fully remote with flexible part-time options.
Key Responsibilities

** Escalation & Troubleshooting:**
- Provide technical escalation support for Desktop Support teams and systems engineers
- Monitor and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016–2025 (via LogicMonitor)

Patch & Compliance Management:
- Handle windows patching for Windows 11 and Server OS
- Deploy and manage System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Utilise Patch My PC with SCCM and Intune

Security & Compliance:
- Enforce change management and compliance processes
- Manage Microsoft Intune for cloud-native laptops
- Ensure adherence to Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Windows AD, DNS, and Group Policy (GPOs)

Scripting & Automation:
- Write and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and troubleshooting

Project Work:
- Act as a technical lead on assigned Infrastructure Engineering projects
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Windows Server Administration (2016–2025)
- Troubleshooting & monitoring (LogicMonitor)
- SCCM (Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager)
- Patch Management (Windows 11, Servers, Patch My PC)
- Microsoft Intune (cloud device management)
- PowerShell scripting
- Strong understanding of change management and compliance processes
- Experience working in a remotely distributed team environment
