2798 – Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a global IT&S team, supporting business operations across multiple locations. This is a broad and rewarding role where you will be responsible for the support, maintenance, development and continuous improvement of the organisation's infrastructure environment, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient and aligned to business needs. You will play a key role in infrastructure operations, cloud services, cyber security response, disaster recovery, and ongoing technology enhancement initiatives.

What you’ll do
- Provide infrastructure support across global operations, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Support and troubleshoot server, network and endpoint technologies across the business
- Investigate, manage and resolve infrastructure incidents, escalating where appropriate
- Maintain and support a portfolio of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure services
- Monitor, identify and respond to cyber security threats and incidents
- Ensure operating systems, applications and endpoint devices are maintained with appropriate updates and security patches
- Support physical servers, storage platforms, virtual environments and cloud technologies
- Ensure backup, recovery, data retention and disaster recovery solutions are maintained and regularly tested
- Manage software licensing and compliance requirements
- Provide technical support across infrastructure, cyber security and operational technology (OT) environments
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with IT&S security policies and standards
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the IT&S technology strategy
- Assess, recommend and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practice
- Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, security and operational efficiency
- Build effective working relationships with internal users, technical teams and third-party vendors
- Provide regular progress updates and communicate risks, issues and recommendations to management
- Escalate critical issues that may impact business operations
- Maintain accurate records within the IT Service Management system
- Ensure service requests and incidents are managed within agreed SLAs
- Follow all company policies, procedures and QHS&E requirements
- Contribute to quality, safety and environmental improvement initiatives

What to bring
- Proven experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar role.
- Strong background supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Experience with:
- Windows Server administration
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 technologies
- Virtualisation platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
- Storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Networking technologies including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, switching and firewalls
- Cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure
- Endpoint management and patching solutions
- Cyber security monitoring and incident response
- Experience supporting both cloud and on-premises environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments
- Microsoft, VMware, Azure or cyber security certifications
- Experience within the energy, engineering, industrial or global enterprise sectors
- Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance and governance best practices
