Infrastructure Engineer
Location: London, UK (Office-Based)
Day Rate: £442 (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery of cloud infrastructure, automation and deployment solutions within a fast-paced technology environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions, developing CI/CD pipelines and supporting secure, scalable infrastructure provisioning. You will work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to improve deployment processes, automate infrastructure management and enhance platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Integrate Terraform workflows into CI/CD platforms including GitLab, GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Develop and optimise deployment pipelines to support reliable infrastructure delivery.
- Implement automated deployment and rollback processes.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions align with security and governance standards.
- Support monitoring, observability and operational improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of IAM security and access management principles.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience provisioning Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Azure Databricks (ADB).
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale cloud environments.
