JOB- Infrastructure Engineer

LOCATION- London (Hybrid)
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £60,000 to £70,000

We are partnering with a highly respected professional services organisation currently investing heavily in modern cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence. As part of continued growth and technology transformation, we are looking to expand the infrastructure team with the addition of an Infrastructure Engineer.

We are looking to hire an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. This role offers broad technical exposure across Azure, automation, monitoring, security, and platform operations within a collaborative and forward-thinking technology team.

  • Strong experience working within enterprise infrastructure environments
  • A degree qualification (BSc, MSc etc.) in Computer Science, IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering or similar would be beneficial
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tooling
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies
  • Experience administering Linux Server environments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, WAN, and IP networking
  • Experience with virtual server and storage technologies
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Zabbix, or similar tools would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration or workflow automation tooling would be advantageous
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues within enterprise environments
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

The Infrastructure Engineer role will involve:

  • Supporting and improving cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments
  • Managing infrastructure across Azure and hybrid platforms
  • Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions
  • Supporting compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, and cloud services
  • Maintaining monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling
  • Supporting infrastructure security, patching, identity management, and disaster recovery processes
  • Troubleshooting infrastructure issues and conducting root cause analysis
  • Collaborating with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure service availability and performance
  • Participating in a 24/7 on-call rota for major incidents
