Infrastructure Engineer
Frimley | Hybrid working 2/3 days onsite
Salary: £50k - £65k depending on level
We are supporting a specialist technology and defence organisation delivering complex, high-trust infrastructure solutions in demanding environments. This is a design-led role, not a maintenance position. We need someone who can design, implement, and see infrastructure through build, commissioning, and acceptance.
The business operates at scale across digital, cyber, intelligence, and mission-critical environments. You will work on technically integrated solutions where accuracy, coordination, and delivery discipline matter.
- Design technical infrastructure to support the full solution.
- Produce supporting designs for LLD and associated configuration.
- Lead build, commissioning, and acceptance activity.
- Deliver coherent, technically integrated solutions against requirements.
- Manage Bill of Materials and project-schedule delivery.
- Supervise installation and commissioning, including subcontractors.
- Update technical specifications and track approved changes.
- Work with stakeholders on infrastructure design decisions.

Requirements:
- Strong campus networking experience with design, build, and configuration.
- Solid understanding of IP networking, DNS, routing, VPN, and firewalls.
- Experience with network design and domain control, including AD, DNS, and NPS.
- Exposure to virtual servers and networking, including VMware or Proxmox.
- Ability to analyse existing designs and translate requirements into delivery.
- Comfortable working with physical hardware, rack build, and troubleshooting.
