Infrastructure Engineer — UK National Security

London (Hybrid) • SC Cleared (or Eligible) • Full-time

UK SC clearance required (held or eligible).
Up to £115k + Bonus & Benefits and Equity
On-call rotation roughly every 5–6 weeks, run from a secure facility.

Systems role for UK national-security deployments across cloud, on-prem, and fully air-gapped classified networks.

The Role

  • Build and operate high-performance, scalable services powering large-scale data platforms for UK government national-security deployments.
  • Own production reliability end-to-end: monitoring, alerting, configuration management, upgrades.
  • Deploy new products into production and lead migrations onto newer infrastructure, including into air-gapped estates via an in-house continuous-delivery engine.
  • Eliminate operational toil with automation, using data platforms and LLM/AI tooling to build novel systems.
  • On-call rotation roughly every 5–6 weeks, run from a secure facility.

  • 1–5 years in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering, with a genuine software-engineering core.
  • Build production systems, not just operate them.
  • Production Kubernetes/Docker experience.
  • Proficient in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript; IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and CI/CD.
  • UK SC clearance held or clearly eligible (UK nationality or long-term residency). No visa sponsorship.
  • Background in defence tech or big-tech/major-cloud SRE.
  • Bonus: drones, self-driving, robotics, or edge systems.
