Infrastructure Solution Architect – SC Cleared
Permanent or Contract | Hybrid (40% onsite) | Infrastructure & Cloud | SC Cleared
At Peregrine, we're always seeking Specialist Talent that have the ideal mix of skills, experience, and attitude to place with our diverse portfolio of clients across the public and private sectors. We are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect to join a high-performing technology team delivering large-scale infrastructure transformation and transition programmes.
The role:
You'll be responsible for designing and delivering infrastructure solutions that support complex transition and transformation programmes. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you'll provide architectural leadership across large-scale IT change initiatives, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and aligned to business objectives whilst managing technical risk throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Design infrastructure solutions supporting large-scale transition and transformation programmes.
- Define solution architectures for new services, suppliers, technologies and operating models.
- Identify and measure transition and transformation success factors.
- Conduct technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform infrastructure audits and technical due diligence activities.
- Provide architectural governance and technical oversight throughout project delivery.
- Support project and programme planning, reporting and implementation activities.
- Coordinate technical resources across multi-supplier environments.
- Lead operational readiness activities for infrastructure and service transitions.
- Plan and oversee data centre migrations, application migrations and infrastructure transformation programmes.
- Document current and target infrastructure architectures and deployment models.
- Identify technical risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring appropriate resolution or escalation.
- Provide technical guidance to support strategic technology decision making.

Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure architecture and solution design for enterprise IT environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure transition and transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of technical architecture principles and solution governance.
- Experience delivering data centre migration and infrastructure modernisation projects.
- Ability to assess technical risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Experience working across complex multi-supplier environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting both project and programme delivery.
- Knowledge of operational readiness, service transition and service introduction.
- Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong documentation and technical design skills.

- Enterprise infrastructure architecture.
- Data centre and application migration experience.

- DMZ architecture knowledge.
- Technical discovery and current-state assessment.
