Senior Infrastructure Specialist (IBM MQ on z/OS & Dynatrace)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid, 2-3 days onsite per week is needed)
Support: 24x7 on call rota and occasional out of hours changes
Duration: 6-12 Months Rolling Contract
THIS PROJECT IS INSIDE IR35
We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in IBM MQ on z/OS to support and maintain a business critical mainframe messaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure & administer IBM MQ within a z/OS environment
- Install, patch, configure & troubleshoot IBM MQ on z/OS
- Carry out problem determination and performance tuning
- Configure MQ security and manage SSL within the MQ environment
- Define and manage Queue Sharing Groups
- Gather and analyse MQ statistics and accounting data
- Troubleshoot MQ applications and messaging performance issues
- Support data transfer to and from host systems
- Work directly with vendors during complex incidents and problem investigations
- Participate in 24x7 on call support and out of hours changes when required
