Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and operational governance for infrastructure services.
- Review infrastructure designs and recommend continuous improvements.
- Support infrastructure modernization initiatives and technology upgrades.
- Drive service improvements and operational excellence.
Azure Cloud Operations
- Support Azure-based infrastructure services.
- Support cloud migration and integration initiatives.
- Monitor cloud performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Assist in cloud cost optimization and operational governance.
Infrastructure Operations
- Windows Server administration and support.
- Active Directory administration.
- DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management.
- Server health monitoring and maintenance.
- Infrastructure patch management.
- Backup and recovery coordination.
- Storage administration.
- Infrastructure performance and firewall monitoring.
- Capacity planning support.
- Laboratory managed network services
Laboratory Infrastructure Support
- Support laboratory computing environments.
- Provision, maintain and decommission laboratory workstations.
- Support infrastructure for scientific applications.
- Coordinate with laboratory instrument vendors during installations and troubleshooting.
- Ensure infrastructure availability for laboratory operations.
- Support onboarding and retirement of laboratory systems.

Service Management
- Manage Major Incidents.
- Participate in Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis.
- Review and implement infrastructure Changes.
- Support Release and Deployment activities.
- Ensure SLA compliance.
- Prepare operational reports and service updates.
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Business System Owners.
- Coordinate with Cloud, Network, Security, and Application teams.
- Participate in governance meetings.
- Provide technical status updates and operational recommendations.
- Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure timely service delivery.
Security & Compliance
- Support regulated IT environments.
- Work closely with Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and Quality teams where applicable.
- Ensure infrastructure changes follow approved governance and change management processes.
- Support audit readiness and compliance initiatives.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with Microsoft and third-party vendors.
- Work with laboratory equipment and scientific software vendors.
- Support infrastructure upgrades and troubleshooting involving external suppliers.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Healthcare, or Laboratory IT environments.
- Experience supporting laboratory computing infrastructure and scientific applications.
- Knowledge of GxP, GMP, GLP, or other regulated environments.
- Awareness of Computer Systems Validation (CSV).
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, SCCM, or Microsoft Intune.
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Networking.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with scientific software and laboratory instrument vendors.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Enterprise Infrastructure.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior infrastructure support or technical consulting role.
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Experience working in Managed Services.
- Experience coordinating with offshore delivery teams.
- Customer-facing onsite support experience.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Clinical Research, Laboratory Services, or regulated R&D environments is highly preferred.
