Infrastructure Specialist (Voice Services)

Salary: £48,987 - £54,430 Location: Manchester Hours: Full Time (35 hours/week) Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 2 office days per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Voice Platform Expertise

    • Hands-on experience supporting a 24/7 large-scale enterprise voice platform, including Avaya, RingCentral, Verint, and Genesys.
  • Service Stability & Controls

    • Support engineering activities by:
      • Identifying and mitigating risks
      • Applying established controls
      • Balancing stability with ongoing transformation
  • Observability & Management

    • Expertise with voice quality and SIP performance tools (VQSP, Virsae).
    • Technical knowledge of:
      • Avaya System Manager
      • ThousandEyes
      • Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
      • Power BI

    • Practical experience with:
      • Python
      • Jenkins
      • Harness
      • Ansible
      • Terraform

    • Effectively engage with both technical and business teams to drive initiatives.
  • Production Health & Technical Debt

    • Maintain production integrity by:
      • Tracking and resolving technical debt
      • Aligning improvements with future architecture
  • Proactive Problem-Solving

    • Independent troubleshooting, evaluating new tools/patterns, and validating solutions for enterprise-wide adoption.
