The Role
We're looking for a proactive and experienced IT Infrastructure professional to join our dynamic IT team in a role that combines operational support with infrastructure improvement projects. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a modern Microsoft-based infrastructure, with a particular focus on Windows Server, VMware virtualisation, enterprise networking, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll play a key role in maintaining, optimising, and evolving our core infrastructure. You'll be responsible for supporting our Windows Server estate, VMware virtual environment, Microsoft 365 platform, Microsoft Entra, Intune, networking, and cyber security technologies. Alongside day-to-day operational support, you'll contribute to strategic infrastructure projects, helping modernise our IT services and improve resilience, performance, and security across the organisation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full Microsoft infrastructure stack, solving complex technical challenges, and delivering projects that make a measurable impact. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the business while developing your expertise in server infrastructure, virtualisation, cloud services, networking, and enterprise security.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
