Infrastructure Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Technician to join our IT Infrastructure team and help deliver secure, reliable and high-performing technology services across the organisation.

In this role, you will support the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of our IT estate, including data centre services, networks, storage, telephony, client devices and the wider infrastructure that underpins key business applications.

About The Role You will play a key part in ensuring the availability, performance and security of selected client/server applications, networks, firewalls, telephony services and end-user devices. You will help configure new implementations, troubleshoot issues, support upgrades and contribute to the development of processes and procedures for managing the technology estate.

The role also provides opportunities to contribute to project work and the adoption of new technologies, helping the organisation respond to changing business needs and improve the way IT services are delivered.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills, a proactive approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn and develop across a broad range of infrastructure technologies. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues and contributing ideas that improve service quality, resilience and efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
