As we continue to invest in the next generation of automotive innovation, we are seeking an Innovation & Advanced Technology Lead – Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics to help shape the future of our products and technologies.
This is a unique opportunity to influence Aston Martin's future vehicle strategy long before programmes enter production. Working at the forefront of advanced systems engineering, you will lead the development and delivery of the Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics technology roadmap, identifying emerging technologies and translating complex technical possibilities into actionable engineering direction. Your work will ensure future vehicle concepts are technically feasible, strategically aligned, and ready for successful programme execution.
Responsibilities
As the Innovation & Advanced Technology Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Driving early-phase concept feasibility activities across Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics systems.
- Assessing new technologies, vehicle architectures, and commodity strategies, ensuring compatibility, integration readiness, and alignment with business, brand, and product objectives.
- Providing the insight and technical leadership needed to support critical decisions during the earliest stages of vehicle development through close collaboration with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and programme teams.
- Evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities that can enhance vehicle performance, capability, and customer experience.
- Leading feasibility assessments and trade-off studies, helping define future system architectures and integration approaches while balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and supplier readiness considerations.
- Evolving Aston Martin's systems engineering capability, driving continuous improvement in tools, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of emerging technologies, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence across the organisation.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical/Electronic, or Systems Engineering, with a master’s degree advantageous. You will bring proven experience in advanced systems engineering, technology road mapping, concept feasibility, or early-stage vehicle integration, coupled with strong knowledge of Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics systems within a high-performance automotive environment.
You will possess:
- A strong understanding of vehicle architectures and cross-system integration principles, with the ability to assess technical feasibility and translate engineering insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, procurement, and programme management functions.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of systems modelling, simulation, and data analysis techniques would be highly beneficial, as would experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), electrified vehicles, autonomous technologies, or advanced mobility platforms. Most importantly, you will have a passion for automotive innovation, a hands-on delivery mindset, and the ability to turn emerging technologies into meaningful opportunities that shape the future of Aston Martin.
