What You’ll Be Doing

Mostly working nights with some rotation, you’ll join a close-knit, collaborative team committed to delivering the highest standard of care for our patients and their families. The Inpatients Team is made up of:

  • Experienced nurses
  • Healthcare assistants
  • Supported by Ward Manager (Pauline)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake basic ward duties.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Support junior staff in evaluating patient health (assessment).
  • Plan your week in advance—your work schedule will stay consistent.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from:

  • NMC Registered Nurses with post-registration experience, preferably in a surgical setting.
  • Experience in orthopaedics would be an advantage—not required but ideal.
  • Ability to perform:
    • ECGs (Electrocardiograms)
    • Venepuncture
    • IV drug administration

Essential Qualities:

  • Strong clinical and infection control knowledge.
  • Problem-solving skills and lateral thinking ability (literally and figuratively).
  • Willingness to coach, mentor, and support junior team members.
