What You’ll Be Doing
Mostly working nights with some rotation, you’ll join a close-knit, collaborative team committed to delivering the highest standard of care for our patients and their families. The Inpatients Team is made up of:
- Experienced nurses
- Healthcare assistants
- Supported by Ward Manager (Pauline)
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake basic ward duties.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Support junior staff in evaluating patient health (assessment).
- Plan your week in advance—your work schedule will stay consistent.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from:
- NMC Registered Nurses with post-registration experience, preferably in a surgical setting.
- Experience in orthopaedics would be an advantage—not required but ideal.
- Ability to perform:
- ECGs (Electrocardiograms)
- Venepuncture
- IV drug administration
Essential Qualities:
- Strong clinical and infection control knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills and lateral thinking ability (literally and figuratively).
- Willingness to coach, mentor, and support junior team members.
