Inquests Solicitor - Leeds - Up to £75,000
A highly regarded and progressive UK law firm with a strong reputation in public sector, healthcare and social care advisory work is seeking an Inquests Solicitor to join its specialist team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Inquests Solicitor to work on nationally significant, sensitive and high-profile matters involving health and social care organisations across both the public and independent sectors in Leeds.
The firm is known for its collaborative culture, strong support structure and commitment to professional development, offering real responsibility alongside high-quality, meaningful work.
The Role:
- Managing a caseload of inquest and Court of Protection matters
- Advising NHS bodies, public authorities and independent providers
- Handling complex legal, procedural and advisory issues
- Preparing cases and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
- Attending inquest hearings and related proceedings
- Supporting junior team members where required
- Contributing to client development and training initiatives
- Developing expertise across mental health, safeguarding and wider advisory work

About You:
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in inquests and/or Court of Protection work
- Strong case management and advisory skills
- Experience working with health and social care clients (public or private sector)
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Able to manage a varied and sensitive caseload independently
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Organised, proactive and collaborative approach
- Advocacy experience desirable but not essential
