Inside Sales Associate
About the Role
ADI Global Distribution now has the opportunity for an Inside Sales Associate to join the ADI team at our Birmingham Store. This role operates Monday-to-Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm) and offers excellent, long-term career opportunities within the electronic security industry.
As an Inside Sales Associate, you will:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Handle sales inquiries
- Process orders
- Support the team to generate sales and meet targets
JOB DUTIES
- Support the Store Manager and team in achieving sales and profit targets through:
- Effective account management
- Customer engagement
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences by building and maintaining strong relationships with:
- B2B reseller accounts
- Strategic vendors
- Supply partners
- Manage a portfolio of reseller accounts, including:
- Actively tracking pipelines
- Closing deals
- Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs
- Assist in executing store business plans and marketing strategies to drive revenue
- Professionally handle customer enquiries and complaints, escalating when necessary
- Ensure timely and accurate product delivery across the region
- Lead by example by:
- Promoting positive behaviours
- Ensuring compliance with audit and operational standards
- Maintain accurate CRM data for visibility on business progress and customer relationships

YOU MUST HAVE
- Prior sales or customer service experience (preferably in a trades/wholesale environment, but retail experience will also be considered)
- Ability to multi-task while selling over the phone and face-to-face
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Comfortability working independently and as part of a team
- Confidence in communicating with customers by phone to:
- Offer advice
- Identify upselling opportunities
WE VALUE (ADVANTAGEOUS BUT NOT REQUIRED)
- Experience in wholesale distribution or trade counter environments
- Comfort independently and collaboratively on team tasks
- Problem-solving mindset with:
- Ability to manage client and executive relationships
- Quick learning and product knowledge application
- Experience using CRM systems
- A driving license (preferred but not essential)
