I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Our approach puts partners and their customers first: we work with our partners to select the right vendor solutions and services for their needs, supporting through every phase of delivery.
The Role in Practice
Your day-to-day is a mix of proactive outreach and responsive selling. You’ll generate new business through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and engagement with our partner network – qualifying opportunities and building a pipeline that reflects genuine commercial potential. When you’re in front of a customer, you’ll take a consultative approach: understanding their requirements and recommending the right networking and connected solutions.
You’ll prepare quotes, pricing, and supporting sales documentation, and stay close to renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities within your existing accounts. You’ll maintain accurate records in Netsuite, keeping your pipeline current and your forecasting reliable, and stay current on networking technologies, market trends, and competitor activity – using that knowledge to sharpen your conversations and improve your close rate. Performance is measured by consistent achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
