Inside Sales Representative
The Whittan Group is the UK's largest manufacturer of steel storage products. Operating through a portfolio of market-leading brands, we design, manufacture and install storage solutions for commercial and industrial environments across the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a commercially minded Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Telford. This role is focused on managing customer enquiries, developing quotations into orders, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Working closely with Business Development Managers, Design and External Sales, you will help maximise opportunities, maintain strong customer relationships and contribute to profitable sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound customer enquiries from initial contact through to quotation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing a professional and responsive service.
- Proactively follow up quotations to understand customer requirements, provide updates and maximise conversion opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of customers and opportunities, ensuring regular commercial engagement.
- Qualify enquiries and ensure opportunities are progressed efficiently through the sales process.
- Work closely with Design, Business Development Managers and other internal and external teams to deliver the best customer solution.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information within the CRM system.
- Identify opportunities to maximise order value through complementary products and services where appropriate.
- Support achievement of team sales, quotation conversion and customer service objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of Whittan's product portfolio, including pallet racking, shelving, lockers and associated services.

About You
- Experience within an internal sales, customer account management or commercial support role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to discuss quotations and customer requirements.
- Customer-focused with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM systems (Hubspot or similar preferred).
- Able to prioritise a busy workload and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working across multiple departments.
