We are hiring a: Inside Sales Representative
Location: Worthing, UK
Hybrid working arrangement, with increasing on-site presence expected over time
About the role:
The Inside Sales Representative owns and develops a defined customer portfolio, driving proactive engagement, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. You'll be the primary commercial contact for your customers, coordinating internal resources and ensuring a seamless experience across the buying cycle - working closely with Direct Sales, Technical Teams and Shared Services.

What You’ll Do:
Customer Relationship & Sales Support
- Manage your own portfolio of Inside Sales customers
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Act as the primary commercial contact for your accounts
- Reach out proactively through calls, follow-ups, and campaigns
- Spot opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account growth
- Collaborate with Direct Sales colleagues on shared accounts

Sales & Commercial Ownership
- Receive, qualify, and respond to customer enquiries
- Work with technical teams to understand customer needs
- Propose the right technical and commercial solution
- Prepare quotations, apply agreed discount levels, and check margins
- Track quotations and follow up to convert them into orders
Order & Customer Experience
- Coordinate with our Shared Services team to ensure smooth order delivery
- Keep customers informed on order status and backlog
- Manage delivery expectations and resolve any issues that arise
- Ensure a consistently high-quality customer experience
Continuous Improvement
- Keep customer and commercial data accurate in our CRM and ERP systems
- Follow company policies and compliance requirements
- Contribute ideas to improvement projects across teams
- Take part in ongoing training to build your skills

What You’ll Need To Succeed:
- Experience in industrial B2B sales is a plus, but we equally welcome candidates early in their career who are eager to grow into technical sales - we'll provide the training to help you get there
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuinely proactive approach to customers
- Comfortable working with CRM, ERP, and other digital tools - curiosity about using AI to work smarter is a bonus
- Professional level of English
- A background in industrial manufacturing, thermal systems, or a related technical field is an advantage, not a requirement

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day
Contract Type: Permanent full-time position, 37.5hr
