Location/Org Data : Logo Job Summary The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the growth of new and assigned customer accounts within the assigned territory by promoting our product lines and targeting business opportunities for sales growth. The Inside Sales Representative will grow profitable sales within a strategic and opportunistic segment. The ISR will guide our customers through the process of purchasing metal products. The ISR must generate value added business, introduce products to established clients, and help resolve any conflicts or customer concerns with the coordination of the Account Representatives and Sales Manager. The Inside Sales Representative will have a full understanding of sales, customer relations, steel fabrication and safety. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Job Function • Prospect new customers and accounts• Welcome and Identify Customer needs• Selling existing and new accounts via phone• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock• Meet or exceed sales goals• Large call volume required• Enter and process customer orders• Executes sales cancellations or changes in the sales orders, and communicates the changes with the affected internal departments• Monitors, analyzes and communicates sales data to contribute to production service schedule.• Articulates the benefits of products to prospective customers relative to the customer’s needs via the telephone.• Resolves customer service issues as needed• Offer Value Added Services and JIT programs to ensure goals are met• Prepares quotes and enters orders based on customer requirements• Maintains a high level of professionalism• Follow up with customers regarding quotations and outcalls to customers to generate additional inquiries. Required Skills Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to tactfully deal with customers, internal Sales Representatives, coworkers & vendors as necessary. Previous experience in Sales, Customer Service or other related field helpful. Ability to build rapport with customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. Special Requirements: Knowledge of steel industry and products or ERP system helpful.
