Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Evident employs around 4,500 people at a total of 57 locations worldwide. Evident Europe, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, employs approximately 770 people in 16 countries. The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, as well as in various industrial areas. In addition, Evident offers videoscopes, products for non-destructive testing techniques and for X-ray fluorescence analysis.
Inside Sales Specialist
The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end sales of microscopes for Life Sciences applications. This includes managing the entire sales cycle for assigned customer segments, supporting field sales with transactional sales, and driving growth through cross-selling, upselling, and new account acquisition. The role will also involve the sale of technical service products to the existing installed base.
Responsibilities:
- Full Sales Ownership: Manage the sales process from initial approach to order completion, including product presentations, virtual demos, technical support, quoting, and closing deals.
- Customer Development: Expand the existing customer portfolio through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- New Customer Acquisition: Identify and engage potential customers by exploring new market niches and applications.
- Technical Service Sales: Drive sales of technical service products for the existing installed base of microscopy and industrial devices.
- Lead Management: Support inbound lead qualification and manage the sales funnel in cooperation with the marketing team.
- Sales Campaigns: Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute sales campaigns targeting specific customer segments.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate sales pipelines and activity logs in the CRM system, ensuring alignment with KPIs and sales quotas.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads and assess customer potential to ensure proper segment allocation.
- Training & Development: Participate in product and application training to deepen technical expertise and develop soft sales skills.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales activity, forecasting, and progress towards sales targets.
- Building up knowledge: Participate in classroom and e-learning training sessions on products & applications to gain deep technical knowledge on microscopy products as well as additional soft skills for sales and commercial processes.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of sales experience in life sciences markets, ideally in microscopy.
- Biosciences University Degree.
- Demonstrated success in new business development, lead qualification, and CRM management.
- Experience in digital and virtual sales channels.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (virtual and in-person).
- Sales-driven mindset with solid negotiation skills.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to prioritize leads and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficient in English, additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to learn and understand complex technical products quickly.
