Inside Travel Foundation Trustee

The Inside Travel Foundation – Trustee Vacancy

The Role

We’re setting up the Inside Travel Foundation to expand our Giving Back work—and we’re seeking a small team of voluntary trustees to help shape it from the ground up.

As a trustee, your work will involve bringing perspective, asking tough but constructive questions, and ensuring funding is allocated wisely and with purpose. While you’ll be supported by Inside Travel Group’s team, your focus will remain on oversight, strategic judgement, and staying true to our mission.

You’ll not need prior trustee experience—we’re equally interested in candidates eager to learn, contribute their unique viewpoint, and challenge ideas thoughtfully.

If you’re someone who thrives on deep engagement without losing sight of the bigger picture, and who can deliver firm but constructive feedback, this role will offer meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the Foundation is properly governed—legally, ethically, and in alignment with its goals
  • Participation in funding allocation decisions, validating recommendations with critical scrutiny
  • Reviewing board documents proactively, asking questions where gaps or ambiguities exist
  • Infusing your own insights and expertise into discussions
  • Actively contributing to board meetings, including thorough preparation and full commitment to decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What We Are Looking For

We value clarity of thought over experience, whether on a CV:

  • Thoughtful analysis: Ability to process information and form clear opinions
  • Voice and listening: Comfort speaking up while valuing diverse perspectives
  • Inner commitment: Shared dedication to the Foundation’s long-term purpose
  • Constructive challenge: Willingness to push ideas—polished but purposeful
  • Seriousness: Showing up informed, prepared, and professional

While understanding charity governance is helpful, it’s not essential—the role will involve upskilling on the job.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all ask. If you feel passionate about the cause, want to contribute meaningfully, and think you’d be a good fit—apply!

What The Role Involves

  • Fully voluntary position (reasonable travel expenses covered)
  • Location: UK-based (mandatory due to governance requirements)
  • Working Model: Remote/hybrid, with occasional in-person gatherings
  • Time commitment: ~2 hours/month in meetings + 2-4 hours/month prep time
  • Term: 3-year commitment (renewable)

  • Over £250,000 donated to charities enabling • Short breaks for marginalised families in the UK, US, Australia, and Japan • Non-profit hospitality schools in Cambodia • Disaster/d 위험 crisis emergency aid in our global network

Our diverse, inclusive culture welcomes candidates from all backgrounds, as we celebrate the richness of varied perspectives.

How To Apply

Candidates will be reviewed on a rolling basis—apply sooner rather than later.
