The role:
We’re setting up the Inside Travel Foundation to take our Giving Back work further – and we’re looking for a small group of voluntary trustees to help shape it from the start.
As a trustee, you’ll bring perspective, ask the right questions, and help ensure funding is used thoughtfully and effectively.
The Foundation will be supported by the Inside Travel Group team, so trustees can focus on what matters most: oversight, sound judgement, and staying true to our purpose.
You don’t need prior trustee experience – we’re keen to hear from anyone interested in getting involved and bringing a thoughtful, independent perspective.
If you’re someone who likes getting into the detail when needed but stepping back to see the bigger picture - and you’re willing to challenge constructively – you’ll add real value in this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Helping make sure the Foundation is set up and run properly — legally, responsibly, and in line with its purpose
- Taking part in decisions on where funding goes, and sense-checking recommendations
- Reading board papers and asking questions where things aren’t clear or need further challenge
- Bringing your own experience and perspective into discussions
- Playing your part in a small board — preparing properly, contributing openly, and backing collective decisions
What we are looking for from you:
We’re less interested in perfect CVs, more in how you approach decisions and discussion.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About the Inside Travel Foundation:
The Inside Travel Foundation is being established to build on Inside Travel Group’s long-standing commitment to giving back. We believe travel can change how people feel, connect and cope, yet many of the families who could benefit most from a break are the least able to access one. Through our Giving Back Fund, we commit 5% of adjusted profit after tax each year to support organisations in our branch countries and destinations that help families get a break and strengthen the communities that host our customers.

Since making this commitment, Inside Travel Group has donated over £250,000 to charities and causes, and this will be the Foundation’s main source of income at launch. The fund has supported charity partners in the UK, US, Australia and Japan providing short breaks for families who need them most, non-profit hospitality training schools in Cambodia, and funding relief efforts for disasters and emergencies that occur in our branch countries and destinations.
We celebrate the different cultures, perspectives, lifestyles, and experiences that shape our team, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and communities.
How to apply:
We will be reviewing and interviewing candidates on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. Due to the high volume of applications, we may close the application process before the stated deadline if we receive enough qualified candidates. Please note that you’ll need to be UK-based for governance and set-up purposes and able to act as a trustee of a UK charity.
