Job Description

Our Analysts are at the heart of delivering value to our retail partners. Working closely with a large UK grocery retailer, you will combine best-in-class data, FMCG and retail expertise, and compelling storytelling to drive actionable insights that support both strategic and tactical decision-making.

This is a highly client-facing role where you will act as a trusted partner to retailer stakeholders, while collaborating internally with NIQ teams. You will leverage both Scanning and Panel data, alongside broader datasets where relevant, translating complex data into clear, impactful recommendations.

You will build a strong understanding of the UK grocery landscape, market trends, and shopper behaviour, helping ensure NIQ delivers maximum value to the client partnership.

Salary: 32000 GBP to 39000 GBP gross per year. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.

Key Responsibilities

Client Partnership & Ownership

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams. Support day-to-day client requests and business questions with timely, accurate analysis
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver against account priorities, contribute to a positive and effective client partnership

Insight Generation & Storytelling

  • Translate client questions into clear analytical briefs, deliver structured, high-quality analysis using EPOS and relevant datasets.
  • Produce clear, concise outputs with actionable recommendations, ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all deliverables

Strategic & Commercial Impact

  • Build knowledge of the client’s business, categories, and performance drivers, develop understanding of UK FMCG and retail trends
  • Support identification of opportunities to add value through insight, contribute to delivering against client objectives through data-driven recommendations

Team & Capability Development

  • Work collaboratively within the wider team to deliver strong outcomes. Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Take ownership of personal development and analytical capability building

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Experience working in an analytical or insight-based role, strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence handling data
  • Ability to turn data into clear and structured insights
  • Good stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Engaging presenter, good at building relationships, internally and with clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver work accurately
  • Experience using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
