We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of:
Product Owner – Insights & Analytics
This opportunity is for a data & technology focused Product Owner to join a key platform within the Corporate and Institutional Bank’s Data & Analytics function. The Platform, ‘Omnia’, is CIB and UK, HK Commercial Banking’s strategic tool for Client and Business Analytics. It is both a detailed data asset and an interactive suite of reporting and insights, providing common understanding of the value HSBC clients generate domestically and globally, and informing client engagement, opportunity identification, and better articulation of the bank’s network through investor disclosures.

In this role you’ll:
- Take end-to-end ownership of technology change delivery for a critical capability in the Omnia Insights & Analytics programme, overseeing the full delivery lifecycle from requirements analysis and documentation, to design, development, deployment, testing, and end user commercialisation.
- Act as the principal face-off to key Business stakeholders, partnering closely with Data and IT teams to ensure appropriate engagement and consideration of requirements throughout implementation.
- Deliver a suite of strategic data and client insights, supporting commercial decision-making, opportunity identification and enhanced client engagement across commercial and servicing domains.
- Support implementation of the Insights & Analytics data, tooling and AI strategy.
- Monitor, escalate and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies, managing delivery across a global stakeholder group.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Proven track record delivering finance, data and technology transformation within a banking environment.
- Strong Product Owner experience and end to end understanding of the full technology delivery lifecycle.
- Experience delivering analytics, insights and reporting capabilities, as well as strategic data build.
- Ability to work collaboratively across Line of Business, Function, Team and Geography, including strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in delivery; proactive problem-solver, comfortable with working autonomously.
- Knowledge of HSBC client and product data structures is a strong preference (particularly in CIB, and UK, HK Commercial Banking).
- Domain knowledge of Client Profitability and/or Finance reporting is preferred.
- Domain knowledge of Servicing data & analytics is preferred.
- Experience of AI data readiness and capability implementation is preferred.
- Experience in Qlik Sense tooling delivery is preferred.
