The Role
This Partner Manager role sits at the core of how leading brands leverage insight to drive growth with Tesco. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, collaborating closely to:
- Understand complex commercial challenges
- Shape insight-led category management strategies
- Deliver measurable impact across Tesco partnerships
While not a traditional sales role, this position carries significant commercial accountability, including:
- Owning senior client relationships and advancing opportunities
- Translating data-driven insights into commercially compelling strategies
- Maintaining a high-performing opportunity pipeline
- Partnering with Client Success to ensure sustained commercial growth

Key Responsibilities
- Client Portfolio Ownership: Drive commercial performance across Tesco-facing clients with clear accountability for revenue, growth, and long-term value.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture trusted, high-level client relationships rooted in commercial acumen and deep insight.
- Insight Translation: Diagnose complex business challenges and convert them into strategic, value-driven recommendations.
- Value Proposition Development: Identify, shape, and execute initiatives for renewals, expansion, and new revenue streams.
- Stakeholder Influence: Lead data-backed client discussions, driving tangible, informed decision-making.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate commercial forecasting and prioritise a disciplined, high-potential opportunity pipeline.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Client Success to ensure seamless delivery and sustained commercial impact.
Qualifications & What You’ll Bring
- Relevant Experience: Background in retail, FMCG/CPG, commercial, or data-centric client-facing roles.
- Accountability Mindset: Confidence in owning client relationships and delivering on commercial outcomes.
- Analytical Strength: Strong quantitative skills with the ability to refine complex data into actionable insights.
- Consultative Approach: Focus on problem-solving and solution-shaping rather than information presentation.
- Influential Communication: Persuasive interpersonal skills to engage senior stakeholders across organisations.
- Client Diversity: Experience or eagerness to work with clients of varying sizes and organisational maturity.
- Ambitious Growth Perspective: Readiness to advance into scalable, strategic client partnerships over time.
