We ensure the right engineering components, MRO products, and services are always on hand, helping reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and keep industry running smoothly.

Job Location: Ideally candidates will live in Leeds or surrounding areas due to the requirement of national travel OR due to the contract portfolio

About The Role

An important customer-facing role within our Insite Operations, providing country-wide support to our teams as and when required. Predominantly delivering absence cover for our Insite Managers, sometimes at short notice.

There is a significant amount of travel and staying away from home as the role involves supporting the full profile of Insites.

  • Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Insite Manager, including attending engineering meetings with the customer.
  • Support in resolving escalated issues and ensure satisfactory outcomes for both the customer and Rubix.
  • Provide guidance to ensure KPIs and customer expectations are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Represent Rubix in customer-facing situations, ensuring professional and effective communication.
  • Negotiate prices and delivery terms with suppliers and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Identify and drive Value Add opportunities.
  • Oversee and perform stock ordering, quality stock cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Identify and communicate risks such as supplier obsolescence and recommend solutions to mitigate impact.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date orderbook, ensuring timely order placement and delivery.
  • Maintain and handover accurate records of inventory, transactions, and supplier communications.
  • Ensure timely and clear responses to customer and supplier enquiries.
  • Receive, understand, and complete the site handover document accurately and on time, ensuring all site requirements are reviewed before the visit.

Regular staying away from home required – location all dependent on which sites require support.

Please note we have support staff based across the UK and will endeavour to keep staff as close to home as possible, BUT, this is a role that requires national travel.

Working Hours

  • Mon - Fri: 8.00 - 17.00
  • Total Hours: 40
  • Breaks: 60 mins

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Experience in a customer-facing operational or administrative role, preferably in the MRO, engineering, or supply chain sectors.
  • Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on understanding customer needs, resolving issues effectively, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes.
  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain principles.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Experience in resolving escalated issues and working directly with customers and suppliers.
