Insolvency & Restructuring Partner – London

The Role

Our client is a long-established UK commercial law firm recruiting an Insolvency & Restructuring Partner to lead and develop its insolvency offering. The firm sits within a global network and has expanded strategically in recent years through both acquisition and organic growth, including the addition of a specialist real estate and construction practice. Core strengths include Banking & Finance, Commercial & Corporate, Real Estate Corporate, and Real Estate Investment & Finance.

Following the retirement of the former Head of Insolvency, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the practice with full strategic backing. A strong senior associate and mid-level associate remain in post, ensuring continuity of client relationships. The firm is fully committed to investing in Insolvency & Restructuring as a core part of its long-term strategy.

The Insolvency & Restructuring Group advises on UK and international corporate and personal insolvency, working closely with insolvency practitioners, directors, individuals, finance directors, and credit controllers. The practice covers the full lifecycle of distressed situations, from early-stage restructuring and rescue through to formal insolvency and enforcement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
