Inspection and Quality Inspector

A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as an Inspection and Quality Inspector at our Cold Meece Refurbishment site. This role offers the chance to play a key part in ensuring that all refurbishment activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement across processes and products.

Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will help maintain rigorous quality control procedures, ensuring that all work is completed in line with company and industry standards. The position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, contribute to high-value projects, and be part of a team committed to excellence.

Hours: 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 47.5 hours per week.

Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check using handheld devices the quality of repairs completed onsite in line with job cards.
  • Complete first-time appraisals on handheld devices capturing all defects and advising of required repair methods.
  • Ensure that all body repairs and paintwork are completed to Greenhous standards.
  • Liaise with the departmental Supervisors to ensure vehicles meet the correct standards.
  • Resolve quality issues at source or externally.
  • Working to site targets.
  • Maintain equipment, protective clothing, and work areas in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • A proven technical background.
  • Communication skills across departments
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in your own decision-making skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in Bodyshop or paintwork would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
