Job Description Inspector Bristol onsite
Job Description Summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Inspector in the within the Bristol Facility. At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer the power that matters to our customers, to society and to the planet. Our engines power aircraft in every major sector, including: transport, combat, patrol, trainers, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.
What you will be doing:
- Inspection of Nozzle Guide Vanes (NGVs) using Work Instructions, Technical Information & drawings and using the information to ensure that all Engine components are conforming to the specification.
- The Skilled Inspector will work as part of the Inspection team to raise non-conformances, overcheck critical components and ensure the parts are correct to customer requirement.
- Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
- Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are machined to the correct technical and quality specifications.
- Ensuring Health & safety is kept to a high standard, at all times.
- Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.
- Work in collaboration with Quality & Engineering Functions daily to ensure parts and processes are of the highest standard.

Who we are looking for:

- You will have completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship, including City and Guilds NVQ 3 or equivalent.
- You will be able to demonstrate Inspection experience.
- You will be confident in interpreting engineering drawings for use with precision measuring equipment.
- You will have knowledge of a wide range of inspection techniques.
- You will demonstrate a professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
- You will have an up-to-date working knowledge of health and safety.
- To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
- Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
