Together, our people make the world safer. What the role has to offer: Inspection of production and repair items. Verification to Product Defining Data of assembly, wiring, modifications and repairs of simple to complex units and systems. First Article Inspection Verification of associated documentation Inspection of units and systems to documentation pack and company workmanship standards First Article Inspection Maintenance of equipment/ tooling as required Verification of equipment build standards Raise Inspection Reports Inspection Survey of repair units Audit of In-Process Verfied (IPV) operators to ensure compliance with IPC standards Support Workplace Management requirements with regard to Monthly Inspections, ESD, COSHH and Temperature & Humidity records Support the generation, modification and validation of company processes, procedures, practices and standards Support the rollout of, and promote the adherence to, company processes, procedures, practices and standards Contribute to effective improvement activities within Industry Maintain the Thales key values About You Inspection of units and systems to documentation pack an:d company workmanship standards ESD awareness Good Understanding of Company and departmental procedures. Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental policy, procedures & legislation. Basic PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc. Training other employees in IPC standards Apprenticeship/ONC or practical experience in the inspection of the wiring & assembly of military and civil products Certified to IPC 610 and 620 Strong planning and organisational skills Good communication and influencing skills Good problem solving and root cause analysis skills Quick learner - open minded and receptive to change Aptitude for facilitating and coaching process and behavioural change Willingness to challenge the status quo and improve on the accepted standards Ready and willing to make decisions in order to keep things moving forward Team Player with good self and other awareness Strong disciplined approach to process Ability to interface well at all levels within the business, suppliers, partners and customers Ability to plan and organise workload to achieve deadlines Ability to estimate duration of tasks What We Can Offer We’re committed to giving you opportunities to be your best.
