Installation Electrician – Renewable Energy

Location: Devon / South West

Salary: £30,000 – £49,000 per annum + Overtime + Company Van

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing business within the renewable energy sector, delivering high-quality solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging installations across the South West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Installation Electrician to join their expanding team.

The Role

As an Installation Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out electrical installations to the highest standards across domestic and commercial renewable energy projects. You'll work closely with installation teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high level of quality.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • Typically Monday to Friday, between 7:00am and 5:00pm
  • Flexibility required to meet project schedules
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation work, testing, maintenance, and fault finding.
  • Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Support and mentor apprentices or electrical mates where appropriate.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Electrician.
  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • ECS Card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior electricians or mates.

Desirable Skills

  • Approved Electrician status.
  • Experience installing solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems.
  • Level 3 Award in the Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • Working at Height and Asbestos Awareness training.
  • Training can be provided for the right candidate.
