Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Equipment Installation, including planning, mounting, configuration, and system testing.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles and Electrical Wiring, with a focus on safety, standards, and compliance.
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering and Maintenance for handling hardware components, fixtures, and ongoing system care.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or audio-visual engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and handle physical aspects of installation work.
  • Experience with audio-visual or home automation systems is an advantage.

What you will do

  • Install and commission complete B&O systems: soundbars, televisions, floor-standing and wall-mounted speakers, stands and brackets, multi-room audio.
  • Carry out pre-sale home visits — assess rooms, cabling, mounting, and network requirements, and feed accurate information back to the sales team for quoting.
  • Handle service calls, fault diagnosis, and warranty work across both showrooms, including legacy B&O products where practical.
  • Configure home networks and app-based setup (Bang & Olufsen app, streaming services, third-party source integration).
  • Keep the van, tools, and stock organised; complete job records so every visit is logged and invoiced correctly.
  • Represent the brand in the customer's home — tidy work, protected surfaces, a full demonstration before you leave.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on AV installation experience — home cinema, multi-room audio, TV wall-mounting, or custom install background.
  • Confident with home networking (Wi-Fi, routers, streaming setup) and comfortable troubleshooting on site without support.
  • Careful, presentable, and calm in customers' homes; strong communication with clients who expect a premium standard.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • B&O product knowledge is a plus, not a requirement — full product training is provided.

Why this role

This is not volume work. You will handle a manageable number of high-value projects done properly, with time to do each one well. You will work directly with the showroom manager, have real input into how installations are scoped and priced, and build ongoing relationships with a loyal customer base — many of whom have owned B&O for twenty years or more.
