Installation Engineer
Experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer – Based in Ipswich
About the Role
An Air Conditioning Installation Engineer position is available at our Ipswich branch.
What You Could Learn
We operate our own bespoke City & Guilds accredited training centre, where we delivered training to 117 engineers in 2023. Our courses include:
- Service and maintenance of HVAC systems
- Commissioning techniques
- Brazing and refrigeration principles
- Installation of water chillers
- Latest industry technologies and best practices
We continuously review and develop our training programmes to ensure we stay aligned with current technology and industry standards.
Responsibilities
The installation engineer will:
- Install and commission a wide range of air conditioning units across commercial and industrial sites.
- Work closely with the project manager to ensure all equipment is installed to the customer’s specification, with highest quality and service standards.
- Travel extensively, with this role operating across Suffolk and throughout the UK.

Requirements
Must have:
- Proven experience as an air conditioning installation engineer, with installation and commissioning expertise.
- Experience working with commercial and industrial clients, including:
- Retail
- Manufacturing
- Food production environments
- Valid Refrigerant Handling Certificate (C&G 2079 or equivalent).
- Strong organisation, communication, and prioritisation skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical details in clear, understandable language.
- A full, valid UK driving licence (essential due to mobile nature of the role).
due to safeguarding requirements for customers (many of whom are schools or hospitals), successful candidates will undergo:
- A confidential criminal record check.
- An advanced DBS check with barred lists verification. We adhere to the DBS Code of Practice and comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
