Installation Engineer

The Installation Engineer will be reporting to the Installation Manager, and the individual will be required to undertake the Installation of CCTV, Intruder, Access Control, and Fire Systems.

The role is covering the North East of England and Scotland.

Job Description

What you will do...

  • Installation of CCTV, Intruder, Access Control, and Fire Systems to a high standard, meeting governing body requirements.
  • Undertake the commissioning process, including the testing, validation, and documentation of all systems and equipment up to a certain size.
  • Provide quality and compliant as installed information and Commissioning Documentation to the back office in a timely manner.
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, identifying areas of risk, and reporting any faults to the appropriate department.
  • Have a clean and professional demeanor.
  • Observe the highest standard of Health and Safety and act in accordance with regulations at all times.
  • Have good communication skills and a problem-solving, can-do attitude.
  • Understand the importance of Customer Service.
  • Report to the installation owner (Project Manager, Installation Manager) on issues.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth transition from commissioning to full operational status.
  • Support on-site surveys and site installation meetings.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required by the business.
  • Consistently provide a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Installation experience of high-pressured environments across all major disciplines, CCTV, Access, Intruder, and preferably Fire and Communications.
  • Proactive response to all situations; ability to work alone and think on your feet.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in installing/commissioning security products.
  • A strong commercial focus to ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Experience of project delivery and planning to anticipate future requirements and to mitigate risk.
  • Sound knowledge of IP technology & networks would be beneficial.
  • Problem solving complex electronic security installations.
