Installation Engineer – NE UK/Scotland – CCTV / Access Control
Installation Engineer
Reporting to the Installation Manager, this role responsibly covers the North East of England and Scotland.
What You Will Do...
- Install CCTV, Intruder, Access Control, and Fire Systems to a high standard, adhering fully to governing body requirements
- Undertake commissioning processes, including testing, validation, and documentation of all systems and equipment (up to a certain size)
- Deliver compliant installation reports and commissioning documentation to the back office in a timely manner
- Promote a safe working environment by:
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures
- Identifying and reporting areas of risk to the appropriate department
- Maintaining a clean and professional demeanour
- Strictly adhere to Health and Safety regulations at all times
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
- Prioritise customer service
- Report issues to the installation owner (Project Manager / Installation Manager)
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions from commissioning to full operational status
- Support with site surveys and installation coordination meetings
- Carry out any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by the business

What You Will Need...
Experience & Qualifications
- Installation experience in high-pressure environments across all major security disciplines:
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Intruder Systems
- Fire and Communications (preferable, but not mandatory)
- Minimum 8 years' experience in installing and commissioning security products
- Proven ability to work independently and think quickly under pressure
- Strong commercial awareness to ensure projects are delivered:
- On budget
- On time
- To agreed quality standards
- Expertise in project delivery and planning to:
- Anticipate future requirements
- Mitigate risks effectively
- Sound knowledge of IP technology and networks (a beneficial advantage)
- Ability to solve complex electronic security installation challenges
