A Sheffield-based, family-run business with nearly 40 years of experience, Windowcharm Ltd supplies window blinds, shutters, and window film to commercial clients nationwide. The company operates on the principle of maintaining direct control over projects to ensure consistently high quality and customer-focused service.

Windowcharm provides a comprehensive range of window furnishings, many hand-crafted in-house, including:

  • Vertical and venetian blinds
  • Blackouts
  • Fly screens
  • Cubicle tracks
  • Bespoke solutions

The business is affiliated with Instor and Dale Storage & Handling, enabling it to support facility management needs across a broad commercial customer base.

The Installer/Fitter at Windowcharm Ltd is responsible for installing and fitting a variety of window furnishings, such as blinds, shutters, and window film, at customer premises. The role involves:

  • Measuring windows
  • Preparing materials
  • Safely using hand and power tools
  • Ensuring installations meet company quality standards

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with customers on-site
  • Providing basic product guidance
  • Completing job documentation (measurements, installation reports, time records)
  • Maintaining a clean work area
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Assisting occasionally in the workshop with product preparation

Qualifications

  • Practical skills in measuring, fitting, and installing window furnishings or similar products.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and basic electronic tools with a strong focus on quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional on-site manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to:
    • Work independently
    • Collaborate as part of a team
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for accurate measurements, job records, and reporting.
  • Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
  • Previous experience in:
    • Installation
    • Joinery
    • Shop fitting
    • A related trade (
    • Beneficial but not essential)
  • Commitment to health and safety practices and willingness to undertake any required training.
