The Installer/Fitter at Windowcharm Ltd is responsible for installing and fitting a variety of window furnishings, such as blinds, shutters, and window film, at customer premises. The role involves:
- Measuring windows
- Preparing materials
- Safely using hand and power tools
- Ensuring installations meet company quality standards
Key responsibilities include:
- Interacting with customers on-site
- Providing basic product guidance
- Completing job documentation (measurements, installation reports, time records)
- Maintaining a clean work area
- Adhering to health and safety procedures
- Assisting occasionally in the workshop with product preparation
Qualifications
- Practical skills in measuring, fitting, and installing window furnishings or similar products.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and basic electronic tools with a strong focus on quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional on-site manner.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to:
- Work independently
- Collaborate as part of a team
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for accurate measurements, job records, and reporting.
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Previous experience in:
- Installation
- Joinery
- Shop fitting
- A related trade (
- Beneficial but not essential)
- Commitment to health and safety practices and willingness to undertake any required training.
