Instore Merchandiser

Visual Merchandiser – In-Store

Role Overview

As part of the in-store team, you’ll provide critical visual support by engaging customers through creative product placement and showcasing the latest fashion trends. Your role includes designing stunning window and in-store displays to maximise profitability while delivering captivating visual concepts that inspire purchases.


Key Responsibilities

Merchandising

  • Follow weekly visual merchandising briefs tailored to your store.
  • Apply cutting-edge techniques to attract, engage, and motivate customers to buy.
  • Ensure mannequins, displays, and window presentations are refreshed seasonally and in alignment with the retail calendar.
  • Set up and monitor in-store promotions using POS materials (Point of Sale).
  • Analyse Oracle retail figures to optimise product placement and store layout adjustments.

Training & Development

  • Provide training and mentorship on merchandising excellence.
  • Facilitate weekly skill-building sessions to prepare for future opportunities.
  • Report on visual merchandising progress to the Town Merchandiser, sharing insights and developments.

General Duties

  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, setting a positive example at all times.
  • Maintain a safe, responsible, and well-organised workspace, enforcing hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance procedures.

Role Objectives & KPIs

  • Merchandise placement: Strategically position products to maximise visibility and accessibility, prioritising high-demand items.
  • Display impact: Create compelling, eye-catching displays that align with brand standards and highlight promotions.
  • Stock synergy: Collaborate with store teams to ensure proper stock levels for seamless customer service.
  • Trend identification: Track emerging fashion and retail trends to refine merchandising strategies effectively.
  • Sales augmentation: Execute promotional campaigns designed to maximise wholesale and retail sales.

Required Skills & Experience

✔ Experience in visual merchandising or retail (advantageous but not mandatory) ✔ Exceptional time management and execution capabilities ✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills ✔ A creative flair for fashion, with an imaginative approach to design and storytelling
