Food Technologist - Cooking Instructions - 12 month FTC
Are you an organised, practically-minded professional with a genuine interest in cooking and food? Join our Instruction Services team at Campden BRI and take ownership of contract projects from first client contact through to final report, while helping plan and coordinate the wider team's day-to-day work.
You will:
- Manage Instruction Services contract projects end-to-end — client liaison, quoting, planning, and preparing and approving reports
- Develop and verify cooking instructions for food products using a range of appliances, including ovens, hobs, grills, steamers and microwaves
- Plan and allocate daily, weekly and monthly work across the technician team to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Support wider contract, research and training projects for the section, including occasional off-site work (particularly thermal processing)
- Maintain equipment and calibration records for instruction development equipment (thermocouples, data loggers, cooking appliances)

What we’re looking for
- Proven experience managing multiple projects at once, with strong organisational and time management skills
- A genuine interest in and understanding of cooking foods, with excellent practical/food preparation skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Full UK/EU driving licence required
