Instructional Designer, Nebius Academy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Instructional Designer, Nebius Academy based in the United Kingdom.

This is an exciting opportunity to design impactful learning experiences focused on AI and cloud technologies for a global audience. You will create engaging educational content that helps individuals and teams build practical skills in emerging technology fields.

The role combines instructional design expertise, technical knowledge, and collaboration with subject matter experts and production teams. You will contribute to the development of scalable learning programs, from course structure and content creation to continuous improvement.

This position offers the chance to influence how learners around the world understand and apply advanced AI and cloud concepts. You will work in an innovative, international environment where creativity, ownership, and experimentation are encouraged.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and improve online learning experiences that make complex technical topics accessible and engaging for different audiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, technical experts, and creative teams to deliver effective educational programs.
  • Participate in learning needs analysis and collaborate on high-level course design with product managers and subject matter experts.
  • Define learning objectives and structure courses into clear modules and lessons.
  • Transform technical materials into learner-friendly educational content.
  • Design practical exercises, assessments, and learning resources that support knowledge retention.
  • Collaborate with production teams to create engaging visual and multimedia learning materials.
  • Review and improve existing courses by evaluating cognitive load, difficulty level, and alignment with learning goals.
  • Incorporate learner feedback and expert recommendations to continuously improve course quality.
  • Adapt learning materials for different audiences, including onboarding programs, professional training, and certification pathways.
  • Maintain course documentation, improvement backlogs, and content development processes.
  • Apply modern instructional design approaches and AI-powered tools to improve content creation efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as an Instructional Designer or in a similar learning design role.
  • Proven experience creating educational content around technical topics such as software engineering, data science, cloud technologies, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of digital learning design frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience developing different types of educational content, including written materials, videos, exercises, and assessments.
  • Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear and engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience using modern content creation and design tools such as Figma, HeyGen, Supademo, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, content development, and instructional design while applying critical review and quality control.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience creating customer education programs or software training materials.
  • Experience developing certification programs related to cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
