Location: Aberdeen
Duration: 12 Month Contract

Purpose of the Role

Provide discipline engineering support to UK operations, ensuring equipment integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Support operational breakdowns, deliver maintenance plans in line with maintenance strategy, and contribute to continuous plant optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant legislation, industry regulations, and company HSE procedures.
  • Support Instrument SECE degradation and threat management risk assessments, as well as maintenance deferment risk assessments.
  • Monitor equipment and system performance, identifying and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Provide discipline engineering and maintenance support across UK operations.
  • Deliver maintenance plans and programmes that ensure cost-effective operations and long-term asset integrity.
  • Adhere to planning processes to achieve right-first-time delivery of instrumentation work scopes.
  • Provide budget input and scope definition for maintenance activities and modification projects.
  • Challenge technical solutions, engineering performance, and project costs to drive efficiency and value.
  • Review vendor work packs to ensure compliance with performance standards and maintenance requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate vendors to ensure successful delivery of planned maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and deliver challenging work scopes.
  • Prepare and raise technical work modifications where complex engineering solutions are required.
  • Develop and maintain optimised preventive maintenance programmes and detailed work packages.
  • Manage equipment performance, spare parts strategies, and warranty follow-up activities.
  • Lead the management of change process for non-like-for-like instrumentation modifications.
  • Participate in offshore visits and mobilisations as required by business needs.
  • Support the emergency response rota if required by the position.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent qualification such as HND/HNC combined with relevant industry experience.
  • Membership of a professional engineering institution and progression towards Chartered status is desirable.
  • Experience in engineering and maintenance within an operational environment.
  • Previous offshore oil & gas experience.
  • Strong understanding of HSE requirements, asset integrity management, and the UK regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management, budgeting, and project delivery processes.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work towards ambitious but achievable targets and consistently deliver results.
  • Understanding of HSEQ management systems and business management processes.
  • Commitment to company values, safety culture, and continuous improvement.
